WE DID IT!

I’ve been meaning to write for a few days now, the browser has remained at this page and I sure hope that it’ll save instead of telling me to log-in again when I try to.

I have big news - WE HAVE REACHED 200 KG (of rice)! I am so terribly pleased, I will also be sending that email (I’ve drafted for a week now) to our charity partner in a bit.

How was your week? As for mine, I think that I had baked about 1000 cookies or so, so many that I am certain I smell like chocolate chip cookies. I also have a new best friend - Uber.

Honestly handling my very own business is very stressful. When sales is meh, I’d worry, when sales is booming I’d worry just the same about everything else. Punctuality, product consistency, packaging, addresses/ delivery (and where are these offices!!), time management, ingredients etc. I have so much respect for bakers who started from ground zero - a 1-woman-band is no trivial matter.

I’m already brainstorming for Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day, and while it’s super fun to be creative, my mind is running 24/7 and by that I mean I’ve been dreaming about cling wrapping my cookie dough, supermarket openings, and product development meetings.

I’m really happy though, stressful as it is, I am enjoying every bit of the way, everyday I’d remind myself to do better than yesterday, bake an even more consistent batch of cookies, be 5 mins early instead of being on time, cut that piece of paper straighter.

In reflecting on the week, I am reminded of the verse -

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - Matthew 6:34

:) I hope that you’d find solace in this as much as I do!

Church is on tomorrow, and I am glad for the spiritual lesson for the week :) ttyl!
