Championing the financial inclusion at JP Morgan Asset Management HK

I was at a fireside chat with Rachel Moy, CFA on Tuesday, at JP Morgan Asset Management’s 2024 Hong Kong Retirement Industry Conference! We spoke about what aging meant to The Good Cake and myself, and we also took a brief look into some numbers at HK’s population-

1 in 5 are currently above 65 (1.45 million elderly)
1 in 2.5 elderly are living in poverty (580,000 are living on less than HKD3,500 monthly)

Elderly-related challenges are often quite invisible in our fast-moving, technologically-charged and glamorous city. But I believe that it all starts with conversations, and when you allow a small social-enterprise like ours take the stage and highlight these issues, we will see the ripple effect of a really good piece of cake.

More conversations -> More cakes -> more growth for The Good Cake -> more IMPACT

Rachel’s a great delight to work with, and I’m feeling rather glad to be a part of the conversation surrounding retirement, aging and financial security. Thank you for supporting The Good Cake and what we believe in - financial and social inclusion for the elderly in HK.

Also pictured - one of my very first cakes 🤣 I love it, and I love how far The Good Cake has come.
